The natural reserve of the river Isonzo mouth.The natural reserve of the river Isonzo mouth (about 2 km away) is a reserve of great interest for the observation of the wildlife and especially for the birdwatching (there are at least 300 bird species).
If you are a lover of the horseback riding, you can also find out the Camargue horses’ reserve, where, during your walk, you can meet some horses living freely in the reserve.
A rest stop sells cold drinks, snacks and at the same time it rents binoculars to find out in detail birds of the natural reserve.

The Giant GrottoYou can’t miss a tour to Grotta Gigante (about 10 km away) on the Carso of Trieste that still today is the greatest cave that can be visited.
Inside the grotto you can admire big sized stalagmites and icicles .
There are also guided tours of wine-tasting. In order to enjoy entirely your holiday, this year it has been introduced the possibility to make guided tours during which you can taste typical wines of the Carso.
In addition, a new climbing tower was set up for a wonderful sport experience both for adults and children.

Cycle routes in natureThere are a lot of routes between the Carso and the sea for those who are fond of MTB and trekking.
By going through the paths you can visit the places of the First World War and the Carso of Trieste before reaching the beautiful city of Trieste.
